Central Michigan Chippewas:  won on the road on Oct. 9 against the Ohio Bobcats 30-27.   Toledo Rockets AnalysisToledo is coming into this game with a 3-3 record overall and they are 2-1 in their road games this season where they will be in this game. This will be their 3rd conference matchup of the year and they are currently 1-1 in their conference games this season. Their 1 win came against Ball State while their 1 loss came against NIU in their last game. They lost 22-20 in a game that was very close the entire length of it. DeQuan Finn played well at the quarterback position as he completed 10/17 passes for 186 yards and 2 touchdowns. Bryant Koback led the team in rushing with 91 yards and 1 touchdown on 12 carries but he was pretty much their entire running game in that one. He also led the receivers with 85 yards and 1 touchdown on 2 receptions. Drew Rosi had 46 receiving yards on 1 reception and Devin Maddox had 34 yards and 1 TD on 5 receptions. Overall, it was a pretty quiet day for the receiving corps. Jamal Hines led the defense in that game with 5 solo tackles and 5 assisted ones. Desjaun Johnson also played well in that one with 4 solo tackles and 7 assisted ones while Samuel Womack was right behind him with 4 solo tackles and 5 assisted ones. Hines recorded the only sack for the defense in that game while Chris McDonald came away with the only interception. They have scored 171 points in their first 6 games averaging 28.5 PPG and they have allowed their opponents to score 105 points against them allowing 17.5 PPG. Their offense is averaging 392.5 YPG while their defense is allowing 314 YPG.   Central Michigan Chippewas AnalysisCMU is coming into this game with a 3-3 record overall and they are 2-0 in their home games this season where they will be in this game. This will be the 3rd conference matchup on their schedule this year and they are currently 1-1 in their conference games this season. Their 1 loss came against the Miami-OH RedHawks while their 1 win came against Ohio in their last game. They won 30-27 in what was a very close game the entire way. Daniel Richardson did not play well in that game as he completed 16/30 passes for 257 yards, 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions. Lew Nichols had a massive day on the ground though as he led the team in rushing with 186 yards and 1 touchdown on 30 carries. No one else really did anything in the run game but him. The receiving corps had an alright day as Dallas Dixon led the team in receiving with 91 yards on 4 receptions while Kalil Pimpleton was right behind him with 5 receptions for 78 yards and the only passing TD in the game for them. Justin Whiteside and Tico Brown both combined for 1 sack but no one on the defense came away with an interception in that one. They have scored 168 points in their first 6 games averaging 28 PPG and they have allowed their opponents to score 165 points against them allowing 27.5 PPG. Their offense is averaging 460.7 YPG while their defense is allowing 396.8 YPG.  Toledo vs Central Michigan PredictionCMU is coming into this game as a 4.5 point underdog with the current betting odds according to Draftkings sportsbook. CMU has looked good on offense all year, they are moving the ball well gaining a lot of yards in their games and they are also finishing those drives as they average over 30 points per game. Besides one big win over a very bad UMass team, Toledo has not looked good in their recent games failing to score over 22 points in their last 3 games, not counting the UMass one. CMU has the home advantage here and they are going to keep this game close as their offense may even overpower Toledo. The best bet to place in this game is on CMU to cover the spread here or even on CMU on the moneyline as they are going to win and upset in this game.  Toledo Central Michigan Prediction:  Our NCAAF Pick for Saturday, October 16, 2021 (3:30 pm ET start time) is CMU 31 Toledo 24.Don't miss our champion handicappers free picks and expert football picks today.  And if you enjoyed this Toledo Rockets Central Michigan Chippewas prediction, be sure to drop by every day for our weekly NCAAF predictions and previews. NCAAF Betting Trends Toledo Rockets: 140-129 ATS in all games. 37-30 ATS when the total is between 49.5 and 56. 95-71 ATS as a favorite. 32-24 ATS as a road favorite. 99-83 ATS against conference opponents.Central Michigan Chippewas: 22-31 ATS as an underdog of 3.5 to 10 points. 70-83 ATS as an underdog. 84-92 ATS after playing a conference game. 46-37 O/U when the total is between 49.5 and 56. 59-43 O/U as an underdog.  Key Injuries  Toledo Rockets:  None. We’re just a few little things here and there from the game being completely flipped.” - Bryant Koback on his team turning things around for the remainder of the season.  “They just kept hanging in and I thought that was big. Wyoming Cowboys:  lost on the road on Oct. 9 against the Air Force Falcons 24-14.   Fresno State Bulldogs AnalysisFresno State is coming into this game with a 4-2 record overall and they are 1-2 in their road games this season where they will be in this game. This will be their 3rd conference matchup of the year and they are currently 1-1 in their conference games this season. Their 1 win came against the UNLV Rebels while their loss came against Hawaii in their last game. They were on a bye last week so they have had an extra week to prepare for this game. They lost 27-24 in their last game going into the 4th quarter with a 14 point lead and letting Hawaii score 17 unanswered to win. Jake Haener kept pushing for the big plays but he struggled a lot in that game as he completed 18-50 passes for 388 yards, 3 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. Ronnie Rivers led the team in rushing with 74 yards on 15 carries but they did not really get much of a run game going in that one. Zane Pope had a nice day as he led the receivers with 113 yards and 2 touchdowns on 5 receptions. Jalen Cropper had 73 receiving yards and 1 touchdown on 5 receptions while Josh Kelly had 60 yards on 6 receptions. Overall, it was a pretty good day for the receiving corps. LJ Early led the defense in that game with 7 solo tackles. Kevin Atkins and Levelle Bailey both had a good game as well with 5 solo tackles each and Daron Bland was right behind them with 4 solo tackles. No one on the defense had an interception in that game while David Perales recorded the only sack for them. They have scored 234 points in their first 6 games averaging 39 PPG and they have allowed their opponents to score 135 points against them allowing 22.5 PPG. Their offense is averaging 520 YPG while their defense is allowing 319.2 YPG.  Wyoming Cowboys AnalysisWyoming is coming into this game with a 4-1 record overall and they are 2-0 in their home games this season where they will be in this game. This will be the 2nd conference matchup on their schedule this year and they are already down with a 0-1 record in their conference games this season. That loss came against AFA in their last game losing 24-14 in a game where they never really had control. Sean Chambers did not play his best in that one as he completed 11/28 passes for 143 yards and 1 touchdown. Xazavian Valladay led the team in rushing with 96 yards on 8 carries but he was basically their entire ground game in that one. Isaiah Neyor led the receivers with 55 yards and 1 touchdown on 3 receptions in what was overall, a quiet day for the receiving corps. Chad Muma led the defense in this game with 6 solo tackles and 5 assisted ones while C.J. Coldon and Rome Weber were both right behind him with 5 solo tackles and 1 assisted one each. Coldon also recorded the only sack in that game for the defense and no one was able to come up with an interception. They have scored 152 points in their first 5 games averaging 30.4 PPG and they have allowed their opponents to score 117 points against them allowing 23.4 PPG. Their offense is averaging 345.8 YPG while their defense is allowing 332.4 YPG.   Fresno State vs Wyoming PredictionFresno State is coming into this game as a 3.5 point favorite with the current betting odds according to Draftkings sportsbook. Fresno has a lot more weapons on their side to work with than Wyoming does. Wyoming started their season off great 4-0 but then lost their first game of the season in their last one and it was their first conference game too. It will be tough for them to get over that mental hurdle. Fresno is off a week of rest and has been preparing an extra week for this game. The best bet to place in this game is on Fresno State to cover the spread here.  Fresno State Wyoming Prediction:  Our NCAAF Pick for Saturday, October 16, 2021 (3:30 pm ET start time) is Fresno State 41 Wyoming 28.Don't miss our champion handicappers free picks and expert football picks today.  And if you enjoyed this Fresno State Bulldogs Wyoming Cowboys prediction, be sure to drop by every day for our weekly NCAAF predictions and previews. NCAAF Betting Trends Fresno State Bulldogs: 41-46 ATS when the total is between 49.5 and 56. 89-100 ATS as a favorite. 113-117 ATS against conference opponents. 58-71 O/U as a favorite. 22-32 O/U as a road favorite. 70-89 O/U against conference opponents. Wyoming Cowboys: 46-39 ATS when the total is between 49.5 and 56. 100-93 ATS as an underdog. 78-73 ATS in home games. 102-123 O/U in all games. 39-45 O/U when the total is between 49.5 and 56. 62-86 O/U as an underdog. 45-54 O/U in home games. 71-82 O/U against conference opponents. Key Injuries  Fresno State Bulldogs:  None. Wyoming Cowboys:  None. Players to Watch  Fresno State Bulldogs: Jalen Cropper is one player to watch in this contest. He leads his team in receiving yards and in touchdowns scored this season. He did not lead the team in their last game as Zane Pope was the guy but he will be looking to change that in this game. Look for Cropper to get a lot of looks in this game as he is a playmaker and will find ways to get in the end zone.  Wyoming Cowboys: Xazavian Valladay is one player to watch here. He leads his team in rushing yards and in touchdowns scored this season. He is coming off of a good game where he rushed for just under 100 yards but he was really the only thing they had going for them in that game. Look for them to lean on him in the running game again in this one as he gets a lot of touches and tries to find the end zone here.  Notable Quotes "We had a chance to put them away and we didn't do that and they're still a good football team, especially here at home and those little things that we missed on in the past couple games that we got past, bit us in the butt today." - Kaleb DeBoer on his team’s loss to Hawaii in their last game.  “He started out, some of his reads were not the best, some of his balls that he threw were a little bit inaccurate. We’ve got to shake off the cob webs there. He does have a really good throwing motion, he is confident. … We’ve got to get Sean calmed down a little bit better. He knows it.” - Craig Bohl on how his starting quarterback needs to improve in their games so they can keep playing well and finish with a good record.  Starting Lineups Fresno State BulldogsWR Wheatfall, Keric WR Kelly, Josh WR Cropper, Jalen TE Rodriguez, Juan QB Haener, Jake RB Rivers, Ronnie  Wyoming CowboysWR Neyor, Isaiah WR Eberhardt, Ayden TE Welch, Treyton QB Chambers, Sean RB Valladay, Xazavian FB Christensen, Parker Statistical Leaders Fresno State BulldogsPassing: J. This will be their 3rd conference matchup of the season and they are currently 1-1 in their conference games this year. Their 1 loss came against the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks while their 1 win came against GA Southern in their last game. They won that game 27-24 but they had a large lead in the 2st half and let them back into the game later on in the 2nd half. Gunnar Watson had a good game as he completed 24/36 passes for 270 yards and 2 touchdowns. Jamontez Woods led the team in rushing yards with 98 and 1 touchdown on 9 carries while Kimani Vidal had 57 rushing yards on 13 carries. Those two made up their entire ground game in that one. Reggie Todd led the receivers with 71 yards and 1 touchdown on 4 receptions but the ball was spread around quite a bit with 10 different players catching a pass for them in that game so no one player stood out for the receiving corps. TJ Harris led the defense with 5 solo tackles, 1 sack and 1 interception while Dell Pettus was right behind with 4 solo tackles and 3 assisted ones. Harris along with Richard Jibunor and Javon Solomon all had 1 sack and 1 interception each in that game. This will be their 2nd conference matchup on their schedule and they are off to a good start so far with a 1-0 record in their conference games this season. Calvin Hill led the team in rushing with 70 yards on 11 carries while Jahmyl Jeter was right behind him with 66 rushing yards and 1 touchdown on 10 carries. McBride also racked up 57 rushing yards on 15 carries himself while Brock Sturges had the other TD on the ground in that one. Javen Banks had a nice day as he led the receivers with 104 yards and 1 touchdown on 4 receptions. Marcell Barbee caught the only other TD through the air in that game but Banks was the biggest threat of all the receiving corps. Sione Tupou led the defense with 5 solo tackles and 9 assisted ones while Troy Lefeged Jr. was right behind him with 4 solo tackles, 1 assisted one and the only interception caught by them in that game. No one else on the defense had an interception while Jordan Revels and Samuel Obiang both combined for 1 sack in the game. They have scored 131 points in their first 5 games averaging 26.2 PPG and they have allowed their opponents to score 178 points against them allowing 35.6 PPG. The Texas State offense is averaging 346 YPG while their defense is allowing 414.6 YPG.  Troy vs Texas State PredictionTexas State is coming into this game as a 7.5 point underdog with the current betting odds according to Draftkings sportsbook. They have not been playing well leading up to their last game but they really showed up as they pulled off a big conference win in overtime. They are getting a Troy team that has not been playing any better themselves recently. Troy has lost 2 of their last 3 games and they are coming off of a win but that win was by 3 points at home against a very bad Georgia Southern team. This will be a close game that both teams fight hard for the win and Troy is not really playing that much better than Texas State right now. Texas State has the home advantage here too so the best bet to place in this game is on Texas State to cover the spread.  Troy Texas State Prediction:  Our NCAAF Pick for Saturday, October 16, 2021 (3:00 pm ET start time) is Troy 23 Texas State 20.Don't miss our champion handicappers free picks, best bets and expert college football picks today.  And if you enjoyed this Troy Trojans Texas State Bobcats prediction, be sure to drop by every day for our weekly NCAAF predictions and previews. NCAAF Betting Trends Troy Trojans: 118-114 ATS in all games. 26-22 ATS as a road favorite. 72-58 ATS in road games. 66-63 ATS against conference opponents.Texas State Bobcats: 51-58 O/U in all games. 12-24 O/U when the total is between 49.5 and 56. 36-48 O/U as an underdog. 31-39 O/U against conference opponents. Key Injuries  Troy Trojans:  None. Texas State Bobcats:  R. Groves (WR) Out Indefinitely - Undisclosed injury. W. He is coming off of a good game where he scored again and led the team in rushing yards. He will want to keep up his good performance so look for him to get a lot of touches here and find the end zone again.  Texas State Bobcats: Javen Banks is one player to watch here. He leads his team in receiving yards this season. He is coming off of a good game where he led the team in receiving and had over 100 yards in that game. He is a key piece in this offense so look for him to keep getting balls thrown his way as he makes big catches down the field.  Notable Quotes "Obviously, really excited to get a win, especially a conference win. Any time you do that you've got to be happy about it. I really like the way our guys just kept fighting. I think it says a lot about our team.” - Chip Lindsey on the way his team performed in their win over GA Southern.   “McBride has a short-term memory, so I knew he was going to be fine. He doesn’t get rattled with this stuff. He understands that he has got to take care of the ball a little better, and he gets frustrated with that, but there was no hesitation because I knew that kid was going to make some plays. The series is tied 1-1 heading back to LA with game 3 of this NLDS still to be played on Monday night, that result is pending. This will be game 4 of this series on Tuesday night and it will be an elimination game for one of these teams. The Giants have won 2 of their last 3 and 9 of their last 11 games with game 3 pending still. Logan Webb was the starter in game 1, Kevin Gausman in game 2, Alex Wood is getting the nod for game 3 so it will likely be Anthony DeSclafani who is the starting pitcher on the mound in this game on Tuesday. He is 13-7 with a 3.17 ERA this season. He was credited with the win in his last start and his team has won 5 of their last 6 games with him on the mound. In his last start, he allowed 0 ER and 0 BB with 3 Ks on 4 hits through 5 IP against the San Diego Padres back on Friday, October 1. He has seen the Dodgers lineup 6 times during the regular season and he is 0-3 against them while his team is 3-3 against them with him starting. He has had some bad games against the Dodgers this season but he did not allow a single run through 6 innings in his last start against them. This will be his first ever postseason start as he has never played in the playoffs before at all. Their offense has scored 22 runs in their last 5 games averaging a little over 4 runs scored per game in that span and they have allowed their opponents to score 16 runs against them in that same span allowing a little over 3 runs per game. Los Angeles Dodgers AnalysisThe Dodgers are coming into this game after winning game 2 9-2 and tying up the series going back home for the next 2 games. Game 3 of this series on Monday is still to be played with that result pending. This will be game 4 of this best-of-five series played on Tuesday. The Dodgers are coming into this game after winning 9 of their last 10 games, with game 3 pending, their 1 loss coming in game 1 of this series. Walker Buehler was the starter in game 1, Julio Urias in game 2, and Max Scherzer in game 3 so Tony Gonsolin will likely be throwing the first pitch for them in this game on Tuesday. He is 4-1 with a 3.23 ERA this season. He has not started in many games this season but he has been credited with 3 straight wins and his team has won their last 4 games with him starting. In his last start, he allowed 3 ER, 2 of them being homers, and 2 BB with 5 strikeouts on 4 hits through 4.2 innings of work against the Padres back on Thursday, September 30. He has seen the Giants lineup 1 time this season and he is 0-1 against the. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits in that game only making it to the 4th inning. He has played in 4 postseason games in his career, all of them were last year and 3 of those games he started in while the other he came out of the bullpen as a reliever. The most he allowed in a single game was 3 runs but he only played 2 innings in most of those games. The Dodgers offense has scored 12 runs in their last 3 games averaging 4 runs scored per game and they have allowed their opponents to score 7 runs against them in that same span allowing a little over 2 runs per game.  Giants vs Dodgers PredictionThe Dodgers have the advantage in this one with the pitching matchup as DeSclafani has not done well against them this season and there is a big possibility that Gonsolin serves more as an opener in this game while the bullpen takes over for them. The Dodgers scored 9 runs in game 2 of this series and have finally been hitting the ball well. They have the pitching and the hitters to win this game. The best bet to place in this game is on the Dodgers to win.  Giants Dodgers Prediction:  Our MLB Pick for Tuesday, October 12, 2021 (9:07 pm ET start time) is Dodgers 7 Giants 1.Don't miss our champion handicappers free picks and expert baseball picks today.  And if you enjoyed this San Francisco Giants Los Angeles Dodgers prediction, be sure to drop by every day for our daily MLB projections and previews. MLB Betting Trends San Francisco Giants: 33-23 (+19.2 units) on the money line as an underdog of +100 or higher. 108-56 (+46.1 units) on the money line in all games. 53-28 (+27.9 units) on the money line in road games.  Los Angeles Dodgers: 71-82 O/U as a favorite of -110 or higher. 73-83 O/U in all games. 36-42 O/U in home games.   Key Injuries  San Francisco Giants:  S. Kazmir (SP) Out indefinitely - Hamstring injury. T. Watson (RP) Out indefinitely - Shoulder injury. T. Beede (SP) out for season - Back injury. D. Nunez (SP) out for season - Elbow injury. Los Angeles Dodgers:  M. Muncy (1B) Late Oct - Elbow injury. C. Kershaw (SP) out for season - Elbow injury. D. Duffy (SP) Mid Oct - Hip injury. Players to Watch  San Francisco Giants: Brandon Crawford is one player to watch in this matchup. He leads his team in hits and in RBI this season and he played well in game 2. He had another 2 hits and 1 RBI in that game even though his team lost 9-2. Look for him to keep playing weel in this game and throughout the series as he keeps racking those numbers up.  Los Angeles Dodgers: Trea Turner is one player to watch in this contest. He leads his team in batting average, hits, and in stolen bases this season. He had a good performance in game 2 with 1 hit and 1 run scored in that game. He is a very dangerous baserunner and will find ways to score so look for him to have another good game here. Notable Quotes "Obviously looking forward to turning the page on tonight's game and getting ready for Los Angeles. It wasn't our best effort tonight. Dodgers just swung the bats better than us, made more pitches than us, made more plays than us. So as we've done all season long, we'll turn the page and get ready for an off day, an off day of preparation and get ready for Game 3." - Gabe Kapler after losing game 2 of this series.   "It's a good feeling. It's interesting how the narrative changes from game to game. Right now, it's a three-game series, we have home-field advantage and we have Max on the mound. I like where we're at." - Dave Roberts after winning game 2 heading back to LA with the series tied 1-1.  Starting Lineups San Francisco GiantsD. Ruf LFK. Bryant CFA. Slater RFB. Posey CW. The Spartans were one point away from having a perfect regular season, and the Nebraska Cornhuskers are likely still cursed in East Lansing. But it might be safe to say this version of Michigan State under coach Mel Tucker is better than that 2015 squad. Walker is 88 yards from 1,000 this season to go along with nine touchdowns. Every time he touches the ball, it tends to go a long way. Take note of his 94-yard touchdown  run in the third quarter to cap a 232-yard day on the ground.Michigan State quarterback Payton Thorne threw for 340 yards and three touchdowns; two of them were 63-yard bombs to Jalen Nailor. The receiver had vie receptions for 221 yards and all three of Thorne’s touchdowns; the third was a 65-yard score in the second quarter. The Spartans offense put up 588 total yards despite having three turnovers, but that’s the fun of playing a Rutgers Scarlet Knights team that hasn’t been great all year. And now the Spartans take on an underperforming Hoosiers team that was supposed to challenge for a Big Ten title.Instead, Indiana has averaged 23.8 points per game while averaging 28.2 allowed on defense. Michael Penix Jr. threw for 118 yards and an interception against the Penn State Nittany Lions in what continues to be a struggling season for the Indiana quarterback. He’s completed only 53.7 percent of his passes while throwing for four touchdowns and seven interceptions.PredictionQuite surprised the line is as close as it is, despite the Hoosiers’ struggles. I expect Michigan State to shut down Indiana’s offense and move to 7-0. Michigan State wins by 17 Betting trendsMichigan State is 132-108 straight up against conference opponents since 1992.The over in Michigan State games is 11-2 in its last 13 after gaining at least 6.75 yards per play in consecutive games.Indiana is 13-4 against the spread in its last three seasons following a conference game.Statistical leadersMichigan State:Passing: Payton Thorne -- 1,576 yards, 14 TD, 2 INTRushing: Kenneth Walker III -- 912 yards, 9 TDReceiving: Jayden Reed -- 492 yards, 5 TDIndiana:Passing: Michael Penix Jr. -- 939 yards, 4 TD, 7 INTRushing: Stephen Carr -- 386 yards, 3 TDReceiving: Peyton Hendershot -- 274 yards, 1 TDDon't miss our champion handicappers' free picks and expert football picks today. Milwaukee Brewers vs. Atlanta Braves Game 4 Odds, Picks and Preview -- 10/12/2021

Game time: 5:07 p.m. ET Venue: Truist Park, Atlanta, GA Where to watch: TBSOpening Odds at USA Sportsbooks DraftKings: NL BetMGM: NL Caesars: NLPower Sports "brought out the broom" for a 5-0 SWEEP on Sunday! Atlanta will look to close the series out at home on Tuesday. But we need to discuss one Mr. Pederson real quick. Because what he does when the lights are brightest are absurd. We’re talking about someone who will turn 30 next year, who is a career .232 batter in 885 career games. He’s two home runs from 150 in his major league career. He’s never been one to be an imposing force in the lineup.Get your club to October, and all bets are off. With his homer on Monday, Pederson has 11 in October (second of this series) and is batting .286 in 67 career postseason games. Pederson also had a solo homer in the eighth inning of Game 1, a 2-1 loss for Atlanta.“They say some guys are built for it,” Braves starting pitcher Ian Anderson said. “[Pederson] is the epitome of that, I would say.”But back-to-back 3-0 wins for the Braves go beyond just Pederson’s October heroics. The starting pitching of Atlanta has somehow outdueled Milwaukee’s stout rotation for the better part of two games. Game 2 saw Max Fried pitch six shutout innings with nine strikeouts, and Game 3 saw Anderson respond with five scoreless innings of his own while striking out six.Outside of Corbin Burnes’ pristine performance in Game 1, Brandon Woodruff and Freddy Peralta have not been able to match that same energy.“No one got complacent. We know what we need to do,” said Brewers center fielder Lorenzo Cain. “Everybody's frustrated. Everybody's upset. We just have to show up [in Game 4] and score as many runs as possible. We’ve got to find a way to win.”Neither team has revealed their starter for the matchup on Tuesday.PredictionThe biggest concern facing the Brewers was the inability to score runs from the big-name players. Christian Yelich, Avisail Garcia and Willy Adames have not been able to get anything going. You’d like to think one of the more dominant teams in the National League would do enough to push it back to Milwaukee, but I have a hard time thinking the Brewers will figure it out on offense so quickly with their season on the line. Braves win 4-2 Betting trendsThe under is 40-21 in the Brewers’ last 61 October games. The Braves are 23-13 (+6.7 net games on the money line) against NL Central teams this season and 47-29 over the past three seasons.Atlanta is 114-82 (-2.6 net games)  at home in the last three seasons.Projected lineupBrewers:Kolten Wong (L) 2BWilly Adames (R) SSChristian Yelich (L) LFAvisail Garcia (R) RFRowdy Tellez (L) 1BLuis Urias (R) 3BOmar Narvaez (L) CLorenzo Cain (R) CFTBD PBraves:Jorge Soler (R) RFFreddie Freeman (L) 1BOzzie Albies (S) 2BAustin Riley (R) 3BAdam Duvall (R) CFEddie Rosario (L) LFTravis d'Arnaud (R) CDansby Swanson (R) SSTBD PDon't miss our champion handicappers' free picks and expert MLB picks today. Game 3 was an awkward close loss to San Diego State 33-31… it took overtime, but it was a loss.  Game 4 was a win over the awful Washington State 24-13.  Game 5 was a big win over USC (remember, ASU beats the USC beaters) 42-26. Offensive AnalysisThe Arizona State offense is ranked 44th in the FBS on offense.  They have scored 26 touchdowns on 441.7 yards per game.Utah is ranked 71st in FBS on offense.  They have scored 18 touchdowns on 390.6 points per game. Both of these teams put up less than 20 points on BYU’s defense. Defensive AnalysisArizona State is ranked 14th in the FBS on defense.  They have given up a paltry 11 touchdowns on 298 yards per game.  UCLA and BYU are high-powered offenses.  Arizona State held them both to below their season average in both points and yards.Utah is ranked 41st in the FBS on defense.  They have allowed 13 touchdowns on 340.4 yards per game.  They are playing great defense, but remember Weber State is the high water mark… these Utah stats seem fugazzi. Arizona State vs Utah PredictionOur prediction for Saturday, October 16th is… ASU 35 - Utah 21 Don't miss our champion handicappers' Free NCAAF Picks and Premium Selections every day here at Bigal.com.  Just click on Shop Picks for our Best Bets, or click on Shop Subscriptions to join for a week or a month.  And if you enjoyed this ASU/Utah preview, be sure to bookmark Bigal.com for our daily Game Previews and Predictions. Really, it wasn’t.For an offense that averages over 500 yards a game, Marshall found itself in a rough go with the Old Dominion Monarchs only to pull away in overtime.Marshall, which has played to one-score games in four straight weeks, will hit the road for the third time in four weeks for a Friday matchup against the North Texas Mean Green in Denton. The Monarchs were three minutes away from a shocking road victory, and had held Marshall’s high-scoring offense to just six points for 59 minutes. In one play, Willie Johnson caught a 52-yard touchdown pass from Grant Wells with 33 seconds left to send the game to overtime.Shadeed Ahmed put the game away with a 22-yard touchdown catch in overtime to put Marshall back to .500. Wells threw for 299 yards and two touchdowns, but the two interceptions were what defined his afternoon for a good 59 minutes. Old Dominion had the ball for only eight seconds less for the game. But this is the week Marshall gets on track offensively and gets a comfortable conference win against North Texas. The Mean Green lost their fourth straight game, giving up at least 35 for the third time during that streak and at least 40 for the second time.North Texas’ defense was gashed for 217 yards and two touchdowns from Missouri Tigers running back Tyler Badie in the 13-point loss for UNT. But all wasn’t totally lost. A late 77-yard touchdown from Austin Aune pulled off the backdoor cover at 18.5.Had North Texas not committed four turnovers, it might have been a different game.PredictionSeeing how UNT’s defense looked last week, I like Marshall to run away with this. The offense has been hit-or-miss the last few weeks, but I like the Herd to bounce back by a few scores. Marshall by 20 Betting trendsWhen it fails to cover the spread in four or five out of its last six games, Marshall is 32-16 in its last 48 against the spread.Marshall is 0-9 ATS when allowing 125 passing yards or less in two straight games.North Texas is 4-12 in its last 16 in games after 60 or more total points were scored in the previous game.Statistical leadersMarshall:Passing: Grant Wells -- 2,000 yards, 8 TD, 9 INTRushing: Rasheen Ali -- 566 yards, 11 TDReceiving: Corey Gammage -- 515 yardsNorth Texas:Passing: Jace Ruder -- 544 yards, 3 TD, 5 INTRushing: DeAndre Torrey -- 601 yards, 4 TDReceiving: Roderic Burns -- 363 yards, 2 TDDon't miss our champion handicappers' free picks and expert football picks today. Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Philadelphia Eagles Preview and Picks - 10/14/2021 Game Time: 1:00 PM ET, Thursday, October 10th, 2021 Venue: Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaWhere to Watch: Fox, NFL Network Opening NFL Odds at USA SportsbooksCirca:  Point Spread: Tampa -7;  : O/U 51.5Caesars: Spread:  Tampa -7; : O/U 52BetMGM:  Spread:  Tampa -7; : O/U 51.5 Season RecordBucs:  4-1 (NFC South)Eagles: 2-3 (NFC East)The Bucs are defending Super Bowl champs. They are led by Quarterback Tom Brady… we all know him: perfectionist, Goat.  They are playing on a short week.  The Thursday game has a tendency to throw teams that have inexperience and uncertainty on the roster, teams that need the full week of practice to make sure everyone is on the same page offensively and defensively.  Those teams are not the Bucs.  The Bucs have proven Vets everywhere. The Eagles have a losing record.  They are off to another rough start to this regular season.  The thing that they should remember to fight off the doom and gloom is they play in the NFC East.  Before everyone crowns the 4-1 Dallas Cowboys as the guaranteed winner of the NFC East… please remember that they are always a Dak Prescott injury away from being the worst team in football.  Last season proved that any of the awful teams in the NFC East can win the division by getting hot for a brief period.  4-1 Sunday in all sports but that's not all! It is also a 4-1 NFL Week thus far! Not only did Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach wrap up his Sunday with a BLOWOUT WINNER on the Bills, he also also WON Thursday night with the Rams/Seahawks UNDER! Bucs vs Eagles Preview and AnalysisRecent FormTampa is 4-1 to start the season.  They won a very close game 1 against the Dallas Cowboys 31-29.  They won Game 2 48-25 against the Atlanta Falcons at Raymond James Stadium.  They lost game 3 to the excellent Los Angeles Rams 34-24.  They won game 4 in an emotional return to Gillette Field and the New England Patriots 19-17… they didn’t have to worry too much as they are the reigning Super Bowl Champions and the Patriots are rebuilding.  Game 5 was a cakewalk victory over the Miami Dolphins 45-17.  Philadelphia opened the season with a win over Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons 32-6.  The joy and optimism was short-lived.  The Eagles would lose the next 3 straight… San Francisco 17-11, Dallas Cowboys 41-21, Kansas City Chiefs 42-30.  In game 5 the Eagles got a comeback victory over Sam Darnold and the Carolina Panthers 21-18.  The difference was the Eagles defense forcing 3 turnovers that led to Jalen Hurts having 2 second-half rushing touchdowns. Offensive Analysis The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ offense is ranked 2nd in the NFL.  They are scoring 33.4 points per game on 431.4 yards per game.  They are masters of the passing game netting 349.4 passing yards per to only 82 rushing yards per.  At times it feels like Tom Brady is a head coach on the field. The Eagles are ranked 14th in offense in the NFL… That sounds good and it is above average, but all the numbers seem to rely on QB Jalen Hurts doing or trying to do it all.  They are netting 372.6 yards per game… Jalen is throwing for 256 yards per game and running for another 51 yards per game.  He gets hit a lot… it will not sustain.  They are scoring 23 points per game. Defensive AnalysisTampa Bay has the 17th ranked defense in the league.  They are winning, but giving up 24.4 points per game on 360.2 yards per game.  It is, so far, a far cry from the Super Bowl defense they fielded last year even though it is mostly the same players.  They are either a year over the hill or still rounding into form after an amazing off-season of steakhouses and high-fives on the golf course.Philadelphia has a losing record despite the 14th ranked offense because the defense is giving up 24.8 points per game on 336.8 yards per game… that would be fine, in fact it is good enough for 10th in the league!  However they will have to tighten up if they are to make up for all the turnovers and penalties.   Bucs vs Eagles PredictionOur prediction for Thursday, October 14th is… Bucs 28 - Eagles 13 Don't miss our champion handicappers' Free NFL Picks and Premium Selections every day here at Bigal.com. The SEC, Big Ten, and Big 12 have all gained ground leaving the Pac-12 to pick up bowl game scraps.  A dominant rest of the season for Oregon coupled with a continuation of UCLA’s re-emergence would be great for the Pac-12 returning to the national conversation.  The big problem is of course the Pac-12 is a conference that more than any other beats up on each other.  Every team has a long standing rivalry with every other team and they play each other tough even when some of the teams are struggling nationally.Fargo is coming off a 5-2 CFB Week Six and he is expecting bigger and better in Week Seven. Cal opened the season with a loss to Nevada 22-17.  Game 2 spilled into loss #2 against TCU 34-32, it was close but a loss is a loss.  Game 3 was an easy win against an easy opponent Sacramento State 42-30… the opponent was so easy there is no excuse to have let them score 30 points (I hear instead of a team bus the Sacramento State players carpool to the games… kidding, but they shouldn’t have scored 30).  Game 4 was a tough overtime loss to Washington 31-24.  Game 5 was a terrible loss to Washington State 21-6.  I submit to you that Oregon would have beaten each and every one of those opponents. Cal’s games seem to have no highlight.Oregon is flying almost high.  They are coming off a bye week (Cal is too) and a bad overtime stumble against Stanford.  The Ducks beat their first four opponents in a row.  Fresno State 31-24, Ohio State 35-28, Stony Brook 48-7, Arizona 41-19…. Then the loss to Stanford in overtime 31-24.  Stanford doesn’t have a great team this year, but they have always had the calling card of super disciplined and well coached.  Oregon’s games are highlighted by that Ohio State win. Offensive Analysis Cal is ranked 103rd in points scored, averaging 19.8 points per game. The Cal stats are skewed by the Sacramento State win…. If we take that out the touchdowns and total yards plummet.Oregon is ranked 35th in points scored, averaging 32.8 points per game. The Oregon stats are given a boost that after RB CJ Verdell has put in 406 total yards, the next RB Travis Dye has put up 382 yards.  They have a real thunder and lightning rushing attack. Defensive AnalysisCalifornia has the 78th ranked defense in the FBS.  They have given up 18 touchdowns and 389.8 yards per game.  Daniel Scott is leading the team in tackles and interceptions… without his takeaways they would sink like a stone in these rankings.Oregon is behind Cal in the FBS defensive ranking… 90th.  They have given up 13 touchdowns on 412 yards per game.  A big part of this ranking is an impactful Ohio State offense dropped 28 points on them… The Ducks got the win though. Golden Bears vs Ducks Prediction Our prediction for Friday, October 15th is… Oregon 45 - Cal 17Don't miss our champion handicappers' Free NCAAF Picks and Premium Selections every day here at Bigal.com. Ball State is starting to pick up some steam here as they have won their last 2 games straight beating Army and then blowing out WMU, who was the best team in the conference coming into that game, by 25 points. Ball State has been playing much better on offense as they have scored over 25 points in each of their last 2 and their defense is playing better as well as they have not allowed more than 20 points in their last 2 games. EMU has failed to score more than 20 points on offense in 2 straight games now and both were against conference opponents. Ball State is coming into this game as a 2.5 point favorite with the current betting odds according to Draftkings sportsbook. The best bet to place in this game is on Ball State to cover the spread here as they are playing much better right now and have the momentum on their side.  Ball State Eastern Michigan Prediction:  Our NCAAF Pick for Saturday, October 16, 2021 (2:00 pm ET start time) is Ball State 27 EMU 20.Don't miss our champion handicappers betting insights, free picks, best bets and expert college football picks today.  And if you enjoyed this Ball State Cardinals Eastern Michigan Eagles prediction, be sure to drop by every day for our weekly NCAAF predictions and previews. NCAAF Betting Trends Ball State Cardinals: 40-31 O/U as a favorite. 81-61 ATS in road games. 21-14 ATS in a road game where the total is between 49.5 and 56. 67-61 O/U against conference opponents.Eastern Michigan Eagles: 120-138 ATS in all games. 29-40 ATS when the total is between 49.5 and 56. 100-109 ATS as an underdog. 33-42 ATS as a home underdog. 46-65 ATS in home games. 86-92 ATS against conference opponents. Key Injuries  Ball State Cardinals:  D. Look for him to get a lot of touches and find the end zone with some good runs in this game.   Eastern Michigan Eagles: Hassan Beydoun is one player to watch here. He leads his team in receiving yards this season. He had a quiet game in his last one and will be looking to make up for that here as he is a big part of this offense. Look for him to make some big catches down the field and help his team score some points in this game.  Notable Quotes "We knew we were going to take shots. All week in practice we were taking shots, we knew we could run the ball or push the ball down the field in the air. I read something that said we couldn’t throw the ball, we didn’t have a deep threat and I think we proved that wrong this week.” - Drew Plitt on their big win over WMU in their last game.   "Championship defense with a tremendous swagger. They believe in each other. Coach Stockton is a very passionate, unbelievable motivator, great leader. ... Credit to our defense. Credit to our players being bought in, working hard all week long in practice, perfecting their assignment, taking it over to the football field and delivering." - Mike Neu on their win against WMU in their last game. Starting Lineups Ball State CardinalsWR Tyler, Yo'Heinz WR Justin HallWR Jackson, Jayshon TE Koch, Dylan QB Plitt, Drew RB Jones, Will FB Rudy, Cody  Eastern Michigan EaglesWR Westmoreland, Zach WR Drummond, Dylan WR Beydoun, Hassan TE Odukoya, Thomas QB Bryant, Ben RB Boone Jr., Darius Statistical Leaders Ball State CardinalsPassing: D. Texas Longhorns:  lost at home on Oct. 9 against the Oklahoma Sooners 55-48.   Oklahoma State Cowboys AnalysisOklahoma State is coming into this game with a 5-0 record overall and they are 1-0 in their road games this season where they will be in this game. This will be their 3rd conference matchup of the year and they are already off to a good start with a 2-0 record in their conference games this season. Their 2 wins came against the Kansas State Wildcats and Baylor in their last game. They are coming into this game on a  5 game winning streak this season. They won their last game over Baylor 24-14 in a game that they were in control of from start to finish. Despite their win and dominance in the game, Spencer Sanders really struggled in that one as he completed 13/23 passes for 182 yards, 1 touchdown and 3 interceptions. Their ground game had a nice day though as Jaylen Warren led the team in rushing with 125 yards and 2 touchdowns on 36 carries while Sanders also had 76 rushing yards on 12 carries. Davontavean Martin had a nice day as well as he led the receivers with 110 yards on 6 receptions and Rashod Owens had 53 receiving yards and 1 TD on 3 receptions. Collin Oliver led the defense with 5 solo tackles, 1 assisted one and 2 sacks while Demarco Jones also racked up 4 solo tackles. Jarrick Bernard also had a good game with 4 solo tackles and 1 assisted one while he and Brendon Evers both combined for 1 sack in that game. No one on the defense came away with an interception for them in that one. They have scored 127 points in their first 5 games averaging 25.4 PPG and they have allowed their opponents to score 93 points against them allowing 18.6 PPG. Their offense is averaging 378.4 YPG while their defense is allowing 305.2 YPG.  Texas Longhorns AnalysisTexas is coming into this college football game with a 4-2 record overall and they are 3-0 in their home games this season where they will be in this game. This will be their 4th conference matchup on their schedule and they are off to a pretty good start with a 2-1 record in the conference this season. Their 2 wins came against the Texas Tech Red Raiders and the TCU Horned Frogs while their 1 loss came to Oklahoma in their last game snapping a 3 game winning streak that they were on. They lost to Oklahoma 55-48 in heartbreaking fashion as they were leading by 3 touchdowns for most of the game but then allowed them to make a comeback in the 4th quarter as their offense was stunted on a few drives. Quarterback Casey Thompson played a great game in that one as he completed 20/34 passes for 388 yards and 5 touchdowns. Bijan Robinson also had a great day on the ground as he led the team in rushing with 137 yards and 1 touchdown on 20 carries but he was basically their entire running game in that one. Xavier Worthy had a massive day as he led the receivers with 261 yards and 2 touchdowns on 9 receptions while Joshua Moore also got involved with 70 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns on 4 receptions. Overall, it was a very good day for the offense even though they went on to lose that game. Luke Brockermeyer led the defense with 6 solo tackles and 6 assisted ones while B.J. Foster was right behind him with 6 solo tackles and 2 assisted ones, also having 1 interception in that game. That was the only interception in that game for the defense while DeMarvion Overshown and Alfred Collins both recorded 1 sack each in that one. They have scored 267 points in their first 6 games averaging 44.5 PPG and they have allowed their opponents to score 175 points against them allowing 29.2 PPG. Their offense is averaging 480.2 YPG while their defense is allowing 441 YPG.  Oklahoma State vs Texas PredictionOklahoma State has been scoring over 20 points in each of their games but they will seem to match whatever their opponent puts up on offense. Texas is very strong on offense averaging almost 45 points scored per game this year. This will be a game where both teams keep scoring and drive up the score as they each look to take the lead. If Texas pulls away then Oklahoma State will try to match that with their offense and if Oklahoma State pulls away Texas has a strong enough offense to make a comeback in the game. There is going to be a lot of points scored by both teams in this game so the best bet to place in this one is on the over.   Oklahoma State Texas Prediction:  Our NCAAF Pick for Saturday, October 16, 2021 (12:00 pm ET start time) is Texas 42 Oklahoma State 38.Don't miss our champion handicappers free picks and expert football picks today.  And if you enjoyed this Oklahoma State Cowboys Texas Longhorns prediction, be sure to drop by every day for our weekly NCAAF predictions and previews. NCAAF Betting Trends Oklahoma State Cowboys: 73-80 ATS as an underdog. 37-44 ATS as a road underdog. 71-74 ATS in road games. 44-60 O/U in road games.Texas Longhorns: 189-172 ATS in all games. 40-34 ATS when the total is between 56.5 and 63. 135-128 ATS as a favorite. 76-68 ATS as a home favorite. 88-81 ATS in home games. 127-113 ATS against conference opponents. Key Injuries  Oklahoma State Cowboys:  D. Jackson (RB) day-to-day - Leg injury. L. Carter (WR) day-to-day - Undisclosed injury. L. Brown (RB) Late Oct - Undisclosed injury. Texas Longhorns:  J. Whittington (WR) Ques Sat - Shoulder injury. R. Thornton (LB) Ques Sat - Undisclosed injury. J. Jones (LB) Ques Sat - Foot injury. Players to Watch  Oklahoma State Cowboys: Jaylen Warren is one player to watch in this contest. He leads his team in receiving yards and in touchdowns scored this season. He is coming off of a big game where he had over 100 receiving yards and he will be looking to continue that into this game. His team is still undefeated so look for him to play at his best here and make some big catches down the field and in the end zone to help his team stay undefeated.   Texas Longhorns: Bijan Robinson and Xavier Worthy are both players to watch here. Worthy leads his team in receiving while Robinson leads the team in rushing yards and in touchdowns scored. Both had massive games, Robinson rushing for over 100 yards and Worthy with over 250 receiving yards in their last game. These two guys make up the entire Texas offense so look for both to make a big impact as they are the deciders for this Texas offense on if they are going to score points or not since they are the playmakers on this team. Notable Quotes "Obviously, the defense playing good. I just don't want to jinx them. They just keep playing, good. I hope that they just continue on like that." - Mike Gundy on part of the reason why they won that game against Baylor in their last.   "At the end of the day when these two teams get together, this is kind of the story, right? The ball is going up and down the field. You've got to try to find a way to create turnovers, which we did early. Unfortunately, the one that we had on the kickoff return was a costly one right there in the fourth quarter." - Steve Sarkisian on their loss to Oklahoma in their last game. Starting Lineups Oklahoma State CowboysWR Green, Blaine WR Bray, Jaden WR Presley, Brennan WR Martin, Tay CW Cassity, Braden QB Sanders, Spencer RB Warren, Jaylen  Texas LonghornsWR Worthy, Xavier WR Moore, Joshua WR Jordan WhittingtonTE Brewer, Cade QB Thompson, Casey RB Robinson, Bijan Statistical Leaders Oklahoma State CowboysPassing: S.
