I had big hopes for the Dream as they went down in flames on Monday versus Vegas and we see a Mercury team coming to town that seems to be peaking at this point of the season. Head to head Atlanta has beaten them in 4 straight head to head contests and covered 3 out of 4 of those. Mercury 6 covers over their last 7 games Atlanta just 1 cover last 10. Normally I’d go Atlanta here I just feel this team has some big issues. On Monday the Mercury picked up a win in Chicago, but Atlanta is a far tougher road venue. Coming off a defeat to Las Vegas, the Dream sit at 10-5 at home; that loss to the Aces should give them extra motivation for this matchup. "Hopefully we have the mindset coming off a loss that we feel we can play better and that we go out there and prove it," Atlanta head coach Karl Smesko said. Atlanta has also taken the last four meetings between the two teams. Look for the Dream to beat Phoenix for a fifth straight time, delivering a blow to the Mercury's slim playoff chances. The Sky are coming off a disappointing home loss to the Mercury and should rebound here. In fact, a quick glance at the Sky’s last game and they were favored by -1.5 point at home against a much better Phoenix team right now and are only a slightly bigger chalk here. LA decided to move on from Kelsey Plum who was traded to the Mercury this week, which means a rebuild is in the works for the Sparks. The trade did result in a win over Portland in the first game without Plum on the roster, but we don’t see them as a team trending up at this point in time. The Sparks are 1-6 SU in their last seven games, 3-7 in their last ten games. When we examine the last 10 games for both teams, we see the Sky are playing significantly better with a +1.5 Net rating compared to the Sparks -3.6.
