Their last 4 wins have come under tonight’s posted number, and I see this game staying in single digits. Golden State has not been as bad as many believed they would be and 2 of their 3 losses are against the defending champions. The Golden State Valkyries return home after back-to-back road games visiting the defending champion New York Liberty. The expansion Valkyries took a beating in the first meeting, but looked respectable in the second game. Battle-tested and still playing with an air of confidence for coach Natalie Nakase, I like the Valkyries to keep tonight's game close against the Minnesota Lynx. The Lynx opened the season with two road games - in Dallas and Los Angeles - but then enjoyed three home games. Friday they went to Phoenix and escaped with a three-point win. It marked Minnesota's fourth straight close call, as it's won by 4, 7, 5 and 3 points, including wins over two of the worst teams in the league: Dallas and Connecticut. And those games were in Minneapolis. Finishing up a two-game trip before a one-off at home, I'm backing the home dog tonight. ... BIG PLAY ALERT: I was the No. 1 WNBA Handicapper last season with a 51-37-1 mark for $10,380 net profit. There is plenty of WNBA action for Sunday, and I'm banking on the early-season rematch between two teams off losses. Phoenix is in L.A. tonight, and I love this game.
