Mississippi vs Texas Prediction

The current betting odds have Texas listed as a 3.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Texas has looked good in their games this season with their 4-2 record overall, but their 1-2 conference record has them in the bottom half of the SEC. They have looked good on their home field though with their 3-1 home record this season. Meanwhile, Ole Miss has looked good in their games this season with their 5-1 record overall and their 3-1 conference record which has them right near the top of the SEC. They haven't been a great road team though with their 1-1 road record this year. Ole Miss is coming off a 31-3 win over Missouri in their last one and they have been rolling lately. They have one of the best offenses in the SEC with a great QB leading the way and their defense has looked better lately too, but they have also played against some bad offenses and this isn't a great situation for them. Texas had a great start to the season and even picked up a big win over Ohio State early on, but things have been falling apart for them lately. They are coming off a 27-24 home loss to Florida in their last one and they have lost 2 games in a row now. They lost to a desperate Oklahoma team in the Red River Rivalry and they were still feeling the effects of that loss last week, but they will be looking to bounce back at home after 2 bad losses and now they are going to be the desperate team looking to get back into the SEC race. Texas still has one of the best defenses in the SEC and that should be a big factor in this one with the jury still being out on that Ole Miss defense. The best way to place a bet here is on Texas to cover the spread in this game.
