Analysis: Tampa Bay looking for one of the Wild Card slots as they sit at 58-51 and are in third place in the Wild Card standings. They are just a 1/2 game back of 2nd place Seattle and 1.5 back of 1st place Toronto. The Rays will start Jeffrey Springs today. Springs is 3-3 in his 14 starts with a nice 2.87 ERA. Springs allowed no runs in his last start vs the Tigers, going six innings and striking out six and walking none. The Milwaukee Brewers held onto 1st place for most of the season, but now find themselves in 2nd place behind St Louis, just one game back. And the Brewers will have to compete with four teams in the NL Wild Card race if they can't take the division title. Brandon Woodruff has been a shining star for the Brewers this year. Woodruff is 9-3 with a 3.49 ERA. He's been even better at home with a 5-0 record in six starts and a 2.08 ERA. I look for this contest to be low scoring and will take the UNDER.
