- Clemson is coming into this game with a 23-11 record this season and they were 11-9 in their conference. They have been playing very well in this tournament with 2 straight wins and they have been dominant in the first 2 rounds. They won against New Mexico in the 1st round in a game that they dominated, winning by 20+ points in the end, and then they followed it up with a very good win against Baylor in their last game, another game they dominated in and never really fell behind in. Their shooting has not been as good as Arizona this season but they have defended shots from the field very well and they are going to get up for this game in the Sweet 16. Clemson has some very good wins this season as they get up for these ranked teams and even when they lose they can keep the games close. They have that win over Baylor in the last round as well as road wins against North Carolina and Alabama, and their only game against Duke this season they lost on the road but by just 1 point. They are going up against an Arizona team that is 27-8 this season and was 15-5 in their conference. They have also struggled against some of the better teams they have faced as they have 2 losses to Washington State as well as losses to Purdue and FAU. Arizona has not had a tough matchup in this tournament yet either, they won their 1st game by 20 points over Long Beach State and they are coming off of a 10 point win against Dayton in the last round in a game they struggled to pull away in.
