Yesterday’s Results for Colorado Rockies vs Miami Marlins

Analysis: Laying the run line with the Miami Marlins, as they should have an easy time with the horrendous Colorado Rockies. Colorado arrives from Queens, where it was swept by the New York Mets, and brings with it an eight-game losing skid. Since May 2, the Rockies have lost 25 of 28 and their pitching staff has a sky-high 6.00 ERA. Their pitchers also have an opponents' batting average of .303. That's over a 28-game, 31-day period. Teams are having their way with this staff, and I expect nothing less from the Marlins. Miami just lost two of three in a home series with the San Francisco Giants, during which it scored only three runs. The Marlins scored 0, then 1 and then 2 runs. Oddly, though, this was an offense that hit .286 and scored 5.3 runs per game during a six-game road trip just before the Padres got back to San Diego. The Marlins have shown glimpses of offensive brilliance at times and only need to face the right staff. This is perfect. I'll lay the run line here, as Miami opens its series with a blowout win, for my NL UNDERDOG OF THE WEEK.
