Yesterday’s Results for Milwaukee Brewers vs Cincinnati Reds

Analysis: N.L. Central Game of the Month. My selection is on Cincinnati over Milwaukee at 7:10 pm et on Monday. The Brewers are coming off a series sweep of the Phillies while the Reds dropped two of three games against the Cubs in Chicago. Milwaukee actually hasn't lost a game in over a week. I do think the Brewers get tripped up in the opener of this series, however. Aaron Civale is on the downside of his career at this point and certainly not long for the Brewers starting rotation. He's starting on Monday only out of necessity. Keeping the ball in the park has been an issue for the veteran right-hander and that doesn't bode well as he starts in the bandbox that is Great American Ballpark. Brady Singer will counter for Cincinnati. He comes off a nice outing against his former club, the Royals. Singer is very much still a serviceable starter at this stage of his career. Neither bullpen has been all that reliable this season with both ranking in the bottom-third of the majors in xFIP. We'll give the Reds the decisive edge based on the starting pitching matchup and we like the price thanks to the two teams' appearing headed in opposite directions. Take Cincinnati (10*).
