Analysis
The Brewers are coming into this game with a 32-28 record this season and they have been heating up in their recent games. They are 8-2 in their last 10 games and they have been on fire as they have won their last 7 straight games, sweeping the Phillies on the road in their last series. Their offense has also been on fire in these games as they have scored at least 5 runs in each of their last 5 games, and they have also allowed just 2 runs or less in 2 of their last 3 as well as 4 of their last 6 games. They are going up against a Reds team that is 29-31 this season and they have not been that great at home at 14-14. They have not been great in their recent games either, losing 3 of their last 4 games, and their offense has struggled a lot in these as they have scored 3 runs or less in 3 of their last 4 games as well. Brady Singer is starting for the Reds in this game and he is 6-3 with a 4.60 ERA this season. He has not been awful this season, but he has not been great either as he has consistently allowed at least 2 earned runs in each of his last 5 starts, allowing at least 3 earned runs in 3 of those 5 starts as well. He has also struggled at home recently as he has allowed at least 3 earned runs in 3 of his last 4 home starts, and even though that is not awful, it is not going to be good against this hot Brewers offense that has been scoring lots of runs recently. Singer also saw the Brewers earlier this season and allowed 5 runs in 5 innings in that game. Aaron Civale is starting for the Brewers in this game and he is 0-1 with a 6.00 ERA this season. He has only had 3 starts this season and he was not good in his 1st start of the year, but he has been much better in his last 2 starts. He followed up that 1st start of the season with a better performance which he allowed 2 earned runs in 4 innings, and now he is coming off of a start which he allowed 1 earned run in 5 innings. He has been improving in each start this season and will continue to improve in this start as well, especially since the Reds offense has not been good recently. He has also been great in his 2 career starts against the Reds as he is 2-0 in those with a 2.03 ERA. Civale will have a good outing here while Singer is going to struggle more against this hot offense and that will be the difference in this game. The Brewers will win this game.
