Analysis: This is a play on the SAN DIEGO PADRES as part of our MLB Monday Double Play. San Diego is coming off a 4-2 homestand following series wins over the Marlins and Pirates and while the competition level goes up, so does the price as the Padres are now huge underdogs. Stephen Kolek entered the rotation in May and put up a 4.11 ERA following a rough final outing against the Marlins to push his home ERA to 9.58 in two starts at PETCO Park but hits the road where his ERA is 1.33 in three starts while posting a 1.13 WHIP and allowing a .222 batting average. The Giants are back home following a long roadtrip where they went 4-5 in Washington, Detroit and Miami and the offense did nothing, scoring no more than four runs in any game while averaging only 2.0 rpg. Logan Webb has been the ace of the staff as he has posted a 2.82 ERA and 1.21 WHIP through 12 starts but is paying the price as usual for being the No. 1 arm in the rotation.
