Analysis
I am beginning to believe the best coach remaining in the playoffs is Dallas' Peter DeBoer. The guy made is now 9-0 in Game 7s after the Stars knocked off the Colorado Avalanche in the first round, and with the best built roster in the Western Conference - perhaps the postseason - his team is making Winnipeg Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck look like, well, playoff Connor Hellebuyck. After splitting the first two games in Winnipeg, the Stars hold the home-ice edge and own a 2-1 series lead after winning Game 3. I'm not about to doubt the Stars in Dallas, where they were 28-10-3 during the regular season. They're also on a 4-0 run at home in the playoffs, outscoring teams by a combined final of 19-9. Dallas proved in Game 3 it has plenty of offensive weapons to victimize Hellebuyck, who I believe got his lone stellar performance out of the way and won't be able to find his way back. Among netminders who have made at least five appearances this postseason, Hellebuyck has the worst save percentage (.848) and second-worst goals-against average (3.51). Flipside of that, Dallas goalie Jake Oettinger ranks sixth with a 2.71 goals-against average and fourth with his .911 save percentage. I may sound like a broken record from Sunday, but once again I can see Mikko Rantanen and Roope Hintz leading the charge tonight, as the two have combined for 28 points this postseason, with 14 goals and 14 assists. The Stars know Winnipeg well, with the two being in the Central Division, and they're 34-22-5 all-time against the Jets with a 20-9-2 mark on home ice. Take the Stars tonight as they make it a 3-1 series while setting their sights on a Western Conference Final revenge series with the Edmonton Oilers.
