Analysis
This is a play on the WASHINGTON NATIONALS as part of our MLB Tuesday Triple Play. This is the first of a couple contrarian plays for tonight as we are backing Washington and its six-game losing streak as we see a lot of value where no one will go. Michael Soroka is back to face his former team where he was one of the most promising young starters in the Braves rotation. In 2019, he was an All-Star and was the Opening Day starter in 2020 but he tore his Achillies three starts in and he pitched only seven more games for the Braves. He mostly came out of the bullpen last season for the White Sox and Washington gave him a shot. He has a 7.20 ERA in two starts sandwiched around a biceps strain that put him on the IL but he is pitching to a 3.29 xERA and while he allowed four runs last time out, it was one bad pitch that did him in, leading to a bases loaded double. The Braves lost two of three in Pittsburgh before the 4-3 win last night and while they are much better at home than on the road, they are not playing well enough to warrant this price. 18 of 41 games have been decided by one run, the most in baseball, and that is a huge percentage of swing games. Spencer Schwellenbach has been hit or miss and has a 4.00 xERA. 10* (955) Washington Nationals
