- The Kings are coming into this game with a 2-1 series lead, but they are coming off of a 7-4 loss against the Oilers in game 3. They lost that game 7-4 and the Oilers really needed that win, but the Kings did not play a bad game for the first 2 periods. They got caught early on and were down 2-0 right away so they did not get off to a good start, but they fought back to erase that deficit and even took a 4-3 lead into the 3rd period. The wheels fell off in the 3rd period though as they allowed 4 goals and went on to lose 7-4 very late in the game. The Oilers did not start scoring goals until very late in that 3rd period though and the Kings were not fully settled into that game with the bad start as well. The Kings will come out much stronger in this game though and they will ensure that they do not fall into a 2-0 hole to right away to start the game. The Kings have played very good defense for stretches throughout this series and their defense has been much better than the Oilers so far. They will tighten up their defense in this game and play a tighter game with the way they let that last game go in the 3rd period. The Oilers do have a great offense that has been scoring goals in this series, but the Kings also have a very good offense that has been on fire in every game of this series with no lulls and they can score on this Oilers team regardless of who is in net for the Oilers. The Kings have dominated the Oilers all season as well so they know how to beat this team, and they are going to be pushing hard for a 3-1 series lead here considering how the Oilers have kicked them out of the playoffs 3 straight years. The Kings will win this game.
