- The Lakers are coming into this game down 2-1 in the series and this is a big game for them. The Timberwolves stole the 1st game of this series on the road so they have put the Lakers in a position where they need to win on the road to advance in this series. They are coming off of a 116-104 loss against the Timberwolves in game 3 which gave the Timberwolves a 2-1 lead in this series, but the Lakers are going to be hungry to bounce back in a must win game here. They do not want to go back to LA facing elimination in this series so they are going to be pushing hard to win this game and get the home advantage back in this series. This has been a back and forth series so far with the Timberwolves stealing game 1 on the road, the Lakers adjusting to that with a win in game 2, and now a win for the Timberwolves going back home in game 3. The Lakers are going to make the proper adjustment in this game like they did in game 2 and they will leave it all on the court to ensure they even up this series. The only game they won in this series was a 94-85 win in game 2 and they won that game by holding the Timberwolves to just 85 points so there is going to be a much better effort on defense for the Lakers to shut the Timberwolves down here. Luka Doncic did not have the best game in game 3 either so he will bounce back with a better performance here and that is going to be a key piece to this game as Luka has the keys to beating the Timberwolves in the playoffs. The Lakers will cover the spread in this game.
