Although UC Davis lost their opening game, it was against the Washington Huskies and expected. Star guard Ty Johnson put on a show despite the loss as he ended the game with 35 points on the night. Today should be a much less of a challenge for the Aggies. In that first game, they were a 15.5 point underdog and covered the spread with ease. Today, they are the favorite.
Up against an Idaho team that also looked strong in their opener, this will actually be a huge upgrade in talent compared to the first opponent that the Vandals played - which was a non D1 school. Having said that, I don't think they'll be ready for the expected Big West player of the year in Ty Johnson today. In the past, the Vandals haven't been able to figure out the Big West. As a matter of fact, they are 3-15 past 18 games against opponents from the Big West Conference. Give me the Aggies on Thursday to knock off Idaho.
