Analysis: Once again, I'm laying the run line with the Philadelphia Phillies, as they will roll past the travel-weary San Diego Padres for a second-straight night. It's been a rough month for San Diego, which has lost 10 of 15 since June 2, and has seen its pitching staff struggle terribly. The Padres have a 4.59 ERA during the 15-game stretch while teams are hitting .271 against them. Tonight the Padres are playing their fifth straight on the road in as many nights after being swept by the Mets in Queens and last night's opener in Philadelphia. During the four-game skid they've been outscored 27-10. As predicted, Philadelphia was chomping at the bit last night, as it had lost four of five and returned home after six on the road since last Tuesday. It wasn't a long trip, having played in Boston and Baltimore, so the Phillies didn't show any sign of fatigue. The Phils rank second in the bigs with 208 runs scored in their own park, and fifth in baseball with 48 home runs in Philadelphia. Another offensive spurt for the Phils tonight.
