Analysis: Interconference action here on Tuesday has the NY Mets heading to Arlington to face the Texas Rangers. These teams played on Monday with the Mets winning in a blowout, 14-2. The Mets improved to 34-37 and have won six straight games and eight of their last 10. They are still in 4th in the NL East, 13.5-games back of the Phillies. The Mets will start Luis Servino here on Tuesday. He's 4-2 with a 3.12 ERA and 1.18 WHIP. He's been very good of late, allowing just two total runs over his last two starts (14 innings). The Rangers may be the defending MLB Champions, however they haven't played like it this season. They are just 33-39 and in third place in the AL West, nine games back of the Mariners. The Rangers have lost four straight games and seven of their last 10 games. Michael Lorenzen will get the start for the Rangers. Lorenzen is 4-3 with a 2.86 ERA and 1.18 WHIP. Lorenzen has pitched well of late too, allowing three earned runs over his last two starts (11 1/3 innings). Both these pitchers have been very good and with the Mets scoring double digits yesterday, I look for these starters to shut down their opponents. I'll be on the UNDER in this game tonight.
