Analysis: Anthony Maldonado is on the hill for his MLB debut with the Miami Marlins, so I'm on board wholeheartedly for this one against the Washington Nationals. To be quite honest, I opted for straight action with this one, in case there is a scratch, but I must insist we have Maldonado on the bump. The Nationals arrive after being swept by the Los Angeles Dodgers, having been outscored 17-4 the last three days. Without a day to rest, they now face someone they won't have a true scouting report on until maybe the third inning. It'll take a few times through the lineup to get in a groove, but I expect the Marlins to provide the run support and jump out to a lead by then. Miami is also off a series it was swept, but that was in Atlanta against arguably the best team in baseball. The Marlins have shown, at times, they can hit the ball and produce high-scoring games, and tonight will be one of those nights in support of their rookie on the hill. Take the home team here.
