It was another sloppy effort from the Phoenix Suns guards in Game 2. Devin Booker fouled out, but the game was already out of hand at that point. He did lead the Suns in scoring but he was out of sorts with Jaden McDaniels guarding him. Booker committing six turnovers was more concerning than the field-goal percentage, with the Suns having 19 as a team. Bradley Beal was not much better, as he was responsible for four to go along with 14 points, but he missed 11 shots from the field. The Suns played well at home during the regular season against the Wolves, and have covered in six straight at home, so expect them to respond after a poor shooting night in Game 2. Phoenix failed to crack 10 made 3-point field goals in both Games 1 and 2, and Grayson Allen’s injury has a lot to do with that. They ranked fourth in 3-point field goal percentage at home this season. They will get a few to drop Friday night. I like the Suns superstar backcourt to bounce back in the biggest game of the season, as a 3-0 hole is insurmountable in the NBA playoffs. In the modern era, only four teams have ever come back from a 3-0 deficit to tie the series, and none have ever won.
Take Phoenix to cover and win with their backs against the wall.
