- The Lakers are coming into this game down 2-0 in the series but they were not bad in the first 2 games. They have not won a single game against the Nuggets all season but they have come much closer in the 2 games of this series. They came out very strong in game 1 to take a lead but blew that lead by the 2nd half and went on to lose by 11 points. They did the same thing in game 2 as they extended their lead throughout the 1st half and even held it in the 3rd quarter, but they let it go late in the 4th quarter to lose the game by 2 points. The Lakers played much better in that game as they were finally on the verge of beating the Nuggets and that was a game on the road with the elevation of Denver as well so fatigue settled in late for this older team and they were not able to hang onto their lead, but things will be different in this game. The Lakers were not happy after game 2 either as there was a bad call with the replay booth but that is only going to motivate the Lakers to come out harder in this game and ensure they are not in that position late in the game but instead win with a nice lead. The Lakers have also been embarrassed by the Nuggets as they have not beaten them in any games this season and they also got swept 4-0 in the Western Conference Championship last year. The Lakers are tired of losing to the Nuggets but they finally figured out to handle them in the last game and now that the Lakers have the home advantage on their side, it will be enough for them to finally get a win against the Nuggets here after coming so close in the last game. The Lakers are going to bring everything they have in this game to beat the Lakers and ensure they stay alive in this series. The Lakers will cover the spread in this game.
