Yesterday’s Results for Philadelphia Phillies vs Cincinnati Reds

Analysis: The Cincinnati Reds and Philadelphia Phillies have had their way at the plate lately, and one of these teams is going to have their win streak snapped. I'm betting on the Reds to extend theirs to four games. Cincinnati's three-game win streak started off this current homestand, as it swept the Angels over the weekend, including Sunday's 3-0 shutout. In the three wins, the Reds outscored the Halos by a combined final of 17-6. In winning six of their last nine games, the Reds are scoring 5.4 runs per game on a paltry .199 batting average. Instead, they've gotten quality pitching along the way and sport a 3.12 ERA during the nine-game stretch. Tonight they hand the ball to Hunter Greene, who is 0-1 with a 4.35 ERA and should be fired up while aiming for his first win. He's pitched well in three of his four starts, and really has only one bad outing that's inflated his numbers. Toss out that one start, and he'd be 0-0 with a 2.45 ERA. He's pitched just once against the Phils, and came away with a no-decision and 3.86 ERA. Now I will admit the Reds will have their hands full against Philly lefty Ranger Suárez, who is 3-0 with a 1.73 ERA. And yes, he is 1-0 with a 2.86 ERA in seven appearances against the Reds, but just three were starts. He hasn't faced this team since 2022, and the Reds are on a roll right now. Take the Reds in this spot.
