- Coming into Monday, a home team has yet to lose in both the NHL and NBA playoffs. Having said that, I believe that a few road teams will come out victorious today. Edmonton enters the playoffs on a bit of a losing streak having lost consecutive games as well as four of their last five. Even though they are the higher seed, the Oilers haven't really been all that consistent this season. They started the year quite horribly and then went on an epic winning streak. I believe that the Kings have been the much more consistent team. LAK was very solid on the road this year. They'll need a strong performance from Talbot in net tonight and I believe that he's more than capable of it. Edmonton was just 8-16 this season after allowing four goals or more in their last game. I expect the Kings to pull off the upset in Game 1.
