- It was a very disappointing loss for Liverpool in the opening leg of this matchup. Yes, it will be tough to come back from down 3-0 on the road. However, I feel as though this line is disrespectful. They dominated the first game with 70% possession and had 19 shots (5 on target.) Atalanta cashed in on their chances, but I don't see them doing it twice in a row against one of the best teams in England.
This line is only a result of one thing. Current form. Liverpool have lost consecutive games after losing to Crystal Palace in their last game. Having said that, this game is going to be a "must-win" for the English side. Gaining form back is crucial to finish off the EPL season, even if they don't win by three or more today.
