Yesterday’s Results for Atlanta Hawks vs Chicago Bulls

Analysis: Don’t expect many fireworks when the 10th-seeded Atlanta Hawks take on the No. 9 seed Bulls tonight in Chicago. Despite their disappointing 36-46 record, Atlanta poured in a fifth-most 118.3 points per game this season, but missed a lot of shots to get there, shooting just 46.5% from the field (21st). Another issue that will plague the Hawks here is the fact that it averaged an even less 114.8 ppg on the road. Unlike Atlanta, Chicago comes in averaging only 112.3 ppg, 22nd-lowest in the NBA this season, and complicating matters even more, it’s scoring just 111.5 ppg at home. The Bulls’ banged up roster has a lot to do with their offensive woes, and Ayo Dosunmu (quad) and Andre Drummond (ankle) are both listed as questionable for this one. The Hawks managed just 108.5 ppg over their last six outings, and when you couple that with Chicago’s struggles to score in general, you have to conclude that taking the Under is the only smart play here.
