- Bayern Munich is coming into this match off of a 2-0 win over Koln in the Bundesliga in their last match. They have not been in great form recently but that win with a clean sheet will give them some confidence coming into this match, especially since they played great in the reverse fixture to put themselves in a position where they are tied 2-2 on aggregate for this 2nd leg at home. Their attack has been on fire in their recent matches as well, scoring at least 2 goals in each of their last 3 as well as 9 of their last 10 matches. When playing at home, they have actually been in much better form as they have won 6 of their last 7 matches there with their only loss in that span coming against Dortmund who has been one of the better clubs in Germany this season. Their attack has been very potent at home as they have scored at least 2 goals in 5 of their last 6 matches there, averaging well over 2 goals scored per match in that span, but their defense has also been much better in those matches as they have allowed 5 goals in their last 7 matches there and have kept 2 clean sheets in their last 4 home matches. They have also been in this position as they were down 1-0 on aggregate to Lazio in the last round after the 1st leg away from home before winning the 2nd leg at home 3-0 to advance. They are going up against an Arsenal side that has been in very good form over the last few weeks, but recently they have been falling out of form. They have 2 wins in their last 5 matches with no wins in their last 2 straight, and they are coming off of a 2-0 loss at home to Aston Villa in their last match. Arsenal has been in great form since coming out of the winter break but a similar thing is happening now as they are playing more extra matches as they struggled to keep pace in both competitions back when they were in the Champions League group stage. These extra matches really take a toll on Arsenal that is starting to be shown now and just like they did in the title race last season, they are starting to unravel in this final stretch. They have also struggled more away from home as they did lose the away leg to Porto 1-0 in the last round of Champions League before winning the home leg 1-0 and advancing in penalties. Bayern Munich is going to win this match at home and they will advance to the next round in regulation.
