- The goaltenders for the Florida Panthers and Vegas Golden Knights are going to have a tough time tonight, as this one is a scorer's dream.
What I love about these teams, when looking at the list of skaters in the postseason, and seeing the leaderboard for points per game, is only two rank in the top 22 - Florida's Matthew Tkachuk and Vegas' Jack Eichel. That tells me while both teams have their notable stars, there is balance down the bench.
As for the goalies, Sergei Bobrovsky and Adin Hill have played out of their minds. But this can be a nervewracking game if you haven't played in the Cup Final. Both will need to get the jitters out, and by the time they do, we may have a 3-3 game.
Florida has gone over in 22 of its last 30 against Western Conference foes, and the Golden Knights, who have gone over in 12 of their last 17 in Vegas.
The last 10 Stanley Cup openers have averaged 6.2 goals per game, with six of those games landing on six or higher.
