- Arkansas is coming into this game playing very well in their recent games. They were not great at the end of the regular season as they went into their SEC Tournament with 3 straight losses, but they also played in a very tough conference finishing the season with Alabama, Tennessee, and Kentucky who were all top 5 teams in the SEC this year and 2 of those teams still being in the NCAA Tournament right now. Then in the SEC Tournament they beat Auburn but lost to Texas A&M who was the 2nd best team in the SEC during the regular season. They have been very dominant in the NCAA Tournament though as they were dominant in their 1st win against Illinois, never really giving them a chance in that game, and then they showed a lot of resilience to come back and beat Kansas who was ranked as one of the best teams in the country all year and had also won every single game when leading at halftime. Arkansas played in one of the best conferences all year and they are very battle tested team with some of the quality wins they have this season. They are going up against a UConn team that has also been very good this season and was getting very hot near the end of the regular season, but they were not great in their conference tournament and fizzled out eventually. This was a team that was expected to be the best team in the Big East this season but finished in 4th place behind Marquette, Creighton, and Xavier, then they were supposed to win the Big East Tournament and were stopped by Marquette in a game where they were not impressive. Even in the NCAA Tournament they had a bit of a break with Iona in the 1st round and Saint Mary's in the 2nd round but now they are playing their 1st game against a power conference team and Arkansas is going to continue to roll here like they have been doing recently as this is still a team that went to the Elite 8 last year. Arkansas can win this game and advance to the next round but even if they do not they are going to keep it close and cover the spread in this game.
