Analysis: North Macedonia is coming into this match not playing in great form from their last competition but they are still a much better team than their opponent here. They did not play well in their last Nations League group but they were a lot better in the World Cup Qualifiers and even knocked out Italy away from home in a play-in match which they ended up losing to Portugal in the next round. This North Macedonia side has been improving a lot though and they are going up against a Malta side that is awful. Malta is one of the worst teams in these competitions and even in their last Nations League they lost both matches against Estonia with their only 2 wins coming against San Marino, a team that has never won a match in their club history. In the last World Cup Qualifiers as well, their only points came against Cyprus with a home win and an away draw while every other match they played in that group was a loss by 2 or more goals. North Macedonia has a much better team than Malta does and these two sides are not even on the same level as North Macedonia is much better and finds ways to beat good teams at home.
