Yesterday’s Results for St. Louis Cardinals vs Chicago Cubs

Analysis: N.L. Central Total of the Year. My selection is on the 'under' between St. Louis and Chicago at 2:20 pm et on Friday. We'll back the 'under' as these two rivals get their series underway at Wrigley Field. It looks like a fairly neutral to possibly pitcher-friendly weather forecast for Chicago on Friday. I think this sets up as a bounce-back spot for both starting pitchers with Matthew Liberatore and Clay Holmes taking the mound. Both starters are coming off shaky outings including Holmes in his debut with his new club. He'll certainly be looking to get off on the right foot in front of the home faithful. With the Cardinals having been idle yesterday and the Cubs using only Aaron Civale in long relief out of the bullpen, it should be a case of all hands on deck for this one. With that being said, I don't think either starter will be asked to do too much. The two offenses have been performing well lately, both ranking inside the top-10 in the majors in xwOBA over the last week but that's surely been factored into this total. I expect runs to come at a premium in this rivalry matchup. Take the under (10*).
