- This is a play on the PITTSBURGH PIRATES as part of our MLB Friday Double Play. Bubba Chandler had a solid start to the season but then hit a rough stretch where he was inconsistent from late April all the way through early July but he has leveled out and been effective with a 2.05 ERA over his last four starts that included a pair of shutout performances against the Mets and Yankees. He has been a carbon copy both at home and on the road and over his last five home starts, he has allowed more than two runs only once and that was giving up three runs against Arizona. Jake Bennett has a masterful run from mid-June through mid-July but he has not been as sharp of late as he has allowed three or more runs in each of his last four starts to post a 5.09 ERA and he has been fortunate to do what he has done with a very low strikeout rate. 10* (976) Pittsburgh Pirates
