Yesterday’s Results for Tampa Bay Rays vs Seattle Mariners

Analysis: A.L. Game of the Week. My selection is on Seattle over Tampa Bay at 4:10 pm et on Sunday. The Rays have won back-to-back pitching duels to open this series but I look for the Mariners to be the ones to prevail on Sunday. Tampa Bay is still undecided on its starter for this game. While this isn't a throw-away game by any means, the Rays will have an eye on a trip south to Sacramento to take on the Athletics tomorrow while the Mariners have an off day. Emerson Hancock will start for Seattle. He's been a much better pitcher at home than on the road this season, sporting a 3.08 ERA and 0.96 WHIP with a 4.9 strikeout-to-walk ratio at T-Mobile Park. He does enter this outing winless in his last three trips to the hill and I think that has shaken a lot of bettors' confidence, leading to a very reasonable price here. Note that the Rays used every reliever on their roster in last night's victory. This contest probably does mean a little more to Seattle, even though I do hate that line of thinking when it comes to sports betting. I simply like the M's at the current price given what we know about this matchup. Take Seattle (10*).
