Analysis
#907 LA DODGERS with Wrobleski (-) over Arizona with Rodriguez at 4:10 PM EST Back on track off yesterday's 2-1 road win over the Diamondbacks, the Dodgers will make it two straight with the series victory on the line. Los Angeles holds an 8.5-game advantage over Arizona in the NL West standings and manager Dave Roberts wants to increase that lead with another win here. Left-hander Justin Wrobleski will get the call for the visitors. With four starts in the books since July 1st, No. 70 was tripped up for 14 earned runs and 25 hits in 23.2 innings of work. Justin whiffed 27 and walked six on his way to a 1-1 record with a 5.33 ERA. Thankfully, with 19 appearances to his credit including 18 starts this year, Wroblelski has been clipped for only 43 earned runs and 101 hits in 117.0 frames. That adds up to an awesome 11-3 mark with a powerful 3.31 ERA. Grabbing the pearl for the home team will be southpaw Eduardo Rodriguez. Lined up against the Padres, Pirates, Nationals, Cardinals, Dodgers, and Brewers in his last six starts since July 5th, No. 57 was popped for 16 earned runs and 42 hits in 34.1 innings. Eduardo fanned 21 and issued seven free passes on his way to a 3-2 mark with a 4.19 ERA. However, in four career starts at home against LA, Rodriguez has inked a 1-1 mark with a soft 5.09 ERA. Technically, this is a tremendous wagering spot for the visitors. Los Angeles has grabbed wins in 285 of its last 474 overall, 169 of its last 282 when coming off a win, 133 of its last 236 as a guest, and 93 of its last 148 in division play. On the other side of the ballpark, Arizona has slipped in 36 of its last 69 when priced as a home underdog. The Diamondbacks have struggled against opponents carrying a won/loss percentage of .500 or better this season (19-31) and they'll have issued trading punches with a Dodgers high-octane offense that checks in with a run differential at +140. Take Los Angeles with Wrobleski. Thanks, and best of luck, Tom.
