Analysis: My selection is on the 'over' between Colorado and St. Louis at 2:15 pm et on Sunday. I like the way the 'over' sets up once again in St. Louis on Sunday. The forecast calls for hot temperatures and high humidity and that certainly favors the hitters in a matchup where they're already well-positioned to find success against the opposing starting pitchers. Michael Lorenzen is in danger of getting blown up in a hurry once again on Sunday. He has allowed a whopping 16 earned runs in just 10 2/3 innings of work over his last three outings. Of note, Alec Burleson is a career 4-for-6 with two home runs off of him and can certainly give his teammates a good scouting report for this one. Cards starter Michael McGreevy has pitched well at times this season but has faded in the Summer heat, lasting just 1 2/3 and 4 1/3 innings in his last two outings, allowing nine earned runs on 12 hits. Note that he's already eclipsed his career high in innings bitched by nearly 25 innings. Neither bullpen inspires much confidence and the Cards in particular should be able to tack on additional runs late with the Rockies likely down two relievers after using them each of the last two nights.
