- Both sides have been playing to several high-scoring games of late, but I think that this non-conference matchup in Indiana on Monday night sets up to be much more of a defensive battle than what the oddsmakers are trying to lead us to believe. Phoenix is 3-6 on the road, while Indiana is 6-3 at home. The Mercury just snapped a four-game slide with a much-needed 93-73 win over Seattle, but previous to that they lost 86-76 at home to Las Vegas. This is, in fact, the start of two straight here between the clubs and Indiana will be looking to return to form after its four-game win streak was snapped in back-to-back losses against Atlanta in a home-and-home set. Both games went over the number, but this matchup against Phoenix on Monday night sets up well to be much more of a defensive battle, in my opinion, between two clubs in need of a victory; the play is on the under ***NON-CONFERENCE TOTAL OF THE WEEK
