- Supporting a 2-win Sun team will take some courage but Connecticut has faced one of the most difficult schedules in the league at this point. The current seven-game slide includes six losses by 10 or fewer points as this isn’t a group that has been often blown out. The Sun have already faced Las Vegas and New York twice each and this will be a rematch after a competitive 85-80 loss in Chicago in early June. Chicago is just a four-win team and in that first meeting the Sky shot 16 percent better from 3-point range and only won by five. The edge in turnovers and rebounding was with Connecticut in a very even game that went in favor of the host in the end. That was Chicago’s only win in a 1-10 run since May 20. The Sky have competed well in the last week with three narrow losses vs. quality teams but failing to seal Saturday’s game in an eventual one-point loss in Dallas will sting. Chicago has drawn the third weakest strength of schedule in the WNBA at this point in the season as the Sky still have six games remaining with the Aces and Liberty. The home team has won five of the past seven in this series and there is only a three-point swing in this line from Connecticut being +6.5 in Chicago just over two weeks ago. Look for Connecticut to breakthrough in this pairing of teams that can’t seem to finish out a win and the +3.5 is valuable if this is another close game, with both teams battling in several close finishes in recent contests.
