Yesterday’s Results for Tampa Bay Rays vs Los Angeles Dodgers

JAZZ INTERLEAGUE BEST OF THE BEST (25-18!)

Analysis: We have an interesting interleague series starting at the Dodgers on Monday night, but it's one that favors the visitors in Game 1, in my opinion. I don't always base my MLB selections almost entirely on the starting pitchers, but I am for this selection. I think that Nick Martinez (6-2, 2.43 ERA) will outduel his counterpart Eric Lauer (2-5 4.75). Martinez is off another win over the Red Sox on Tuesday, allowing three run over seven innings. He has eight quality starts this year, and four in his last five trips to the hill. Finally, note that Martinez has been his best on the road, going 2-1 with a 1.75 ERA. Lauer is off a no-decision to the Pirates, allowing two runs over five innings. Lauer looked brutal in Toronto to open the season, but has looked better since coming over from LA. Still, I like Martinez in this matchup, as he continues to show steady form in these circumstances.
