- #555 CLEVELAND (+) over Detroit at 7:05 PM EST
With momentum off a 12-point home win over the Raptors, the Cavaliers will cruise over to the Motor City and pull off the upset over the Pistons. Detroit came all the way back from a 3-1 deficit to knock off Orlando in seven games and this will be a challenging spot for head coach J.B. Bickerstaff and his boys.
Historically, Cleveland has been a force in this series lately inking a profitable 19-6 SU and 14-9-2 ATS record in the last 25 meetings. In this run priced as an underdog or a short favorite of -2 or less, the Cavs improve to a healthy 6-1 SU and 7-0 ATS. Equally impressive, in their last 22 priced as a road pup, head coach Kenny Atkinson and his crew hold an elite 16-6 ATS mark including a juicy 14-2 ATS provided this is a conference game.
This is actually a brutal situation for the home squad. In postseason play matched up against a division foe, the Pistons have inked a disturbing 0-16 SU and 2-14 ATS record and have lost those battles by an average of 13.7 points per game. Even worse, in the playoffs against Cleveland, Detroit has posted a rough 6-15 SU and 4-17 ATS mark when including a nasty 3-8 SU and 0-11 ATS provided the Pistons are priced between +6 and -8 points. Finally, as a competitive home favorite laying -5 or less, Coach Bickerstaff and his crew hold a poor 20-29 SU and 15-33-1 ATS tally including a hideous 7-16 SU and 4-18-1 ATS if they storm in with steam off a straight up win.
The Cavs have owned the Bad Boys and they are in prime position to pull off this minor upset. Take Cleveland. Thanks, and best of luck, Tom.
