Yesterday’s Results for Cleveland Guardians vs Atlanta Braves

Analysis: At 7:20 pm, our selection is on the Atlanta Braves -1.5 runs over the Cleveland Guardians. Chris Sale won the NL Cy Young award two seasons ago when most thought he was well on the downward side of his career. Now after a 2025 campaign that saw injuries limit the veteran southpaw to just 21 games (20 starts), Sale is back healthy again for another run in 2026 at the age of 37. He's off to a solid if not spectacular start with a 2-1 record, 3.94 ERA, and 0.88 WHIP in three starts covering 16 innings (with 16 strikeouts and five walks). Start number four will come tonight against a Cleveland team that Sale is very familiar with from his early years in the American League with the White Sox. One thing's for sure, Sale loves pitching at his new home ballpark as in 26 games here at SunTrust Park (25 starts), Sale is 15-2 with a 2.38 ERA and 1.00 WHIP with 191 strikeouts and 33 walks in just under 159 innings.
