- Revenge is a powerful motivating factor for players and teams, and I think it'll help the Jazz to, at the very least, keep this game vs. the favored Clippers extremely competitive until the final moments. After back-to-back home wins over the Lakers and Nets and with a game at Denver up next, LA could potentially be caught looking past the Jazz tonight. LA already beat Utah 118-101 at home as 14.5-point favorites on New Year's Day. The Jazz are coming off back-to-back losses, but have had two nights off to absorb a poor 147-116 home loss to Miami. While Utah is just 10-14 SU at home, the Jazz are 15-9 ATS in front of the home-town crowd. LA, on the other hand, is 815 SU and 11-12 ATS on the road. I like Utah to bounce back at home in this revenge scenario, and I do think that LA comes out flat and gets caught looking ahead to its more high-profile contest vs. the Nuggets up next. No outright victory, but look for the Jazz to take this one "down to the wire;" grab the points ***NBA REVENGE ROUT
