- At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the Toronto Maple Leafs over the Buffalo Sabres. Buffalo wraps up a five-game road trip while Toronto completes a five-game homestand tonight at ScotiaBank Arena. Win or lose tonight, it's been a successful trip for the Sabres as they've already won three of the road games (after losing the first of the trip in Raleigh to the Hurricanes). Meanwhile, the same can't be said of the Leafs' homestand as they've gone 0-4 coming into tonight. But at least they get to finally face a team that they've done very well against recently. And while the Sabres have had a very successful season so far, they haven't been their best when coming off dominant victories like the 5-0 shutout of the Isles in their last game. In fact, Buffalo is only 3-5 this season (2-4 on the road) after allowing one goal or less in their previous contest. The Maple Leafs have won six of the last seven meetings with the Sabres going back to March of 2024. Take Toronto. As always, good luck...Al McMordie.
