- No need to overthink this one. Washington has won five in a row, including a 3-1 victory at the Kings just last night. I now expect fatigue to be an issue in the second game of the back-to-back scenario. And with a difficult game at the Pacific Division-leading Ducks on Friday to close this four-game trip, the visitors could potentially also be caught "looking ahead." San Jose, on the other hand, is off a convincing 6-3 win here at home over Utah as a +153 underdog, as it continues to get underappreciated by the bookmakers in my opinion. But, with a difficult five-game road trip starting in Dallas on Friday night, this evening's contest vs. Washington clearly takes on added importance for the home side.
