Analysis: *3 Star Play on San Diego State* The Washington State Cougars were extremely fortunate to win last week against a depleted Idaho Vandals team from the FCS ranks. Washington State finished with 3 rushing yards against Idaho. The Cougars offensive line graded out at a 47.7 PFF grade, which was among the five worse in the country. They want to run the football, but their offensive line is a major problem. Washington State faces an up and coming San Diego State team this week. The Aztecs blew away Stony Brook and covered the spread with ease last week. Sean Lewis is still a very good offensive mind, and he now has a couple quarterbacks who are much better than anyone he had last season. San Diego State's defense is much improved. The secondary is excellent and I really like the linebackers as well. I think this is a situation where these two teams are moving in completely different directions. Washington State will take their lumps this season. San Diego State is much better than a year ago. San Diego State outgained Washington State last year and only lost by a field goal. I expect them to win this game. Take San Diego State.
