We'll back the Cubs as they look to avoid the series sweep against the division rival Brewers on Wednesday afternoon. Shota Imanaga will be tasked with helping to end Chicago's slide. I like the bounce back spot for him after the Cubs were drilled 12-5 against the White Sox in his most recent outing. Note that Chicago has yet to drop consecutive Imanaga starts this season. Prior to his most recent start, Imanaga had allowed just three earned runs in 20 innings of work over his previous three outings. Freddy Peralta will counter for Milwaukee. He has of course pitched exceptionally well this season but has labored a bit lately. In Peralta's last two outings he's needed 93 and 98 pitches to get through five innings. He has also been tagged for a home run in consecutive starts which is notable as he allows just one home run per nine innings this season. The Marlins outlasted the Brewers 5-1 in Peralta's most recent start. Take Chicago (10*).
