Yesterday’s Results for Chicago Cubs vs Minnesota Twins

Analysis: My selection is on the 'over' between Chicago and Minnesota at 1:10 pm et on Thursday. While the Cubs bats have been quiet so far in this series I do expect them to come to life against Chris Paddack and the Twins pitching staff on Thursday afternoon. Paddack has been a punching bag for opposing offenses over his last five starts, allowing 21 earned runs in 23 2/3 innings of work. The Cubs, while cooling off at the plate in this series, still rank top-10 in the majors in both weighted on base average and isolated power over the last week. The Twins, meanwhile, have climbed to ninth in wOBA and 10th in ISO over the same stretch. They should have plenty of success against Cubs right-hander Colin Rea. He has allowed six home runs over his last three starts and has failed to top four strikeouts in any of his last four outings. Of note, his last three starts have totalled 20, 15 and 14 runs. Both bullpens have dealt with plenty of traffic on the basepaths over the last week with the Cubs posting a 1.41 WHIP and the Twins logging a 1.33 WHIP. The two 'pens have combined to give up 26 runs over their last six games, respectively. Take the over (8*).
