- 7-unit Play. Take #371 St. Louis Battlehawks -1 vs. Arlington Renegades (Saturday, April 19th, 12:30 p.m. ABC/ESPN+)
This is the highlight of the UFL week, featuring two of the top three offenses and defenses for yards per game in the league. St. Louis dropped their first game last week to the undefeated DC Defenders 27-15, while Arlington lost their first at Birmingham 10-9. This game could go either way, but we don't think St. Louis will turn the ball over 4 times like they did against DC. The Battlehawks lead the league in offense, averaging 24.0 points and 317.3 yards per game. They also feature the top rushing attack with 160.7 yards per contest. Arlington's offense is third in yards with 299.0 and fourth in points at 17.7 per game. The Renegades' stop unit is at the top of the league, giving up just 9.3 points and being third in yards allowed at 257.7. Arlington's pass defense, however, has only come up with two picks and four sacks so far. The Battlehawks have a similar stat line: fourth in points (14.0 ppg) and second in yards (246.3 ypg). St. Louis is tied for the league lead in interceptions with five, and second with seven sacks. Arlington's QB, Luis Perez, is one of the less mobile signal-callers in the league and should come under duress all game. Two very close teams, but St. Louis's ability to come up with the big play should be the difference.
