Analysis: It may be tempting to take the Cleveland Cavaliers here, even with such a drastic spread, but if you paid attention to the line, it's gone from 14 to 11.5 for good reason. And that's after seeing what the Cavs did in Boston on Friday. However, the Portland Trail Blazers aren’t the pushover that Vegas books are making them out to be with this line. The Blazers enter tonight's game on a four-game win streak, with one of those wins being a 53-point result over the Hornets that was the third-largest margin of victory in the NBA all season. Portland is coming off a 19-point win over the Nets on Friday night, led by 25 points by Shaedon Sharpe, who has led the Blazers in scoring in consecutive games as he scored a career-high 36 in Wednesday’s 129-121 win over the Wizards. Overall, the Trail Blazers have won 10 of their last 14 games straight up and have covered 14 of their last 19 games. In a similar matchup as 14-point underdogs against the Thunder on Jan. 26, the Blazers covered in a 10-point loss and that was before they really caught steam. I also expect Cleveland to be dealing with a bit of a hangover after Friday’s triumphant comeback against the Celtics. I don’t think they’ll drop this game outright, but it does have all the telltale signs of a letdown game. Take Portland with the points.
