As strong as this Liverpool side have been in both domestic & international play this season, it's time for them to have a couple of 'stinker's.' This will be the toughest two match combo that the Reds have played all season long with Manchester City on deck this weekend. Having said that, they could be caught looking ahead to next match while sitting comfortably near the top of the UCL standings at the moment.
With all of that being said, I believe that there is plenty of value here on playing on Real Madrid for the first half. Yes, they are without Vini Jr who is perhaps their best player at times. But, the Spanish giants pretty much need a result out of this game to have a chance at avoiding the extra round in the UCL knockout rounds. A strong start is necessary and I think that they are able to do just that on Wednesday. Don't be shocked if Madrid even lead going into the break.
