With Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix making his first start on the road against a defensive-minded Mike Macdonald stop unit, the Seahawks will have no trouble cashing this ticket. Equally important, behind an improved offensive line, Seattle signal-caller Geno Smith will have his way with an Orange Crush "D" that was ranked 29th in total defense last season surrendering an average of 370.8 yards per game.
Technically speaking, this is a solid wagering spot for Seattle. At home in season openers, the Seahawks have played extremely well lately inking a strong 8-1 SU and 6-3 ATS record. (Total players take note: The under holds a 7-1 ATS mark in those games.) Also, since 2005, the 'Hawks hold a reliable 113-51 SU and 94-64-6 ATS tally when rolling in their own backyard including a respectable 29-10 SU and 25-13-1 ATS provided they are lined up against an AFC opponent. Finally, at home at game five or less priced as an underdog or a short favorite of -6 or less, Seattle owns a profitable 19-8 SU and ATS mark in its last 27 battles.
Holding a rough 17-31 SU and 18-28-2 ATS record in their last 48 games, the Broncos are obviously having their fair share of issues on the football field right now. As a guest in this run, Denver falls to a miserable 4-18 SU and 6-15-1 ATS. Additionally, in their first road game of the season, the Orange Crush sport a soft 7-13 SU and 8-12 ATS tally including 5-12 SU and 6-11 ATS provided they are lined up against a non-division foe.
