Yesterday’s Results for Baltimore Orioles vs Chicago White Sox

Analysis: My selection is on Baltimore over Chicago at 2:10 pm et on Saturday. We'll keep hitting the Orioles this weekend as they look to get rolling after a series sweep in St. Louis earlier this week. I like their chances of doing just that against starter Erick Fedde and the White Sox on Saturday afternoon. Chicago has once again settled into a funk at the plate, ranking 26th in team OPS over the last seven days. Surprisingly, the Orioles sit only three spots ahead of them in that category over the same stretch but we certainly saw signs of a breakout in last night's 6-4 victory. Current O's hitters are just 5-for-24 off of Fedde but they've also struck out only five times without a walk. In other words, they've gotten their cuts in against the right-hander and I expect them to give him plenty of trouble on Saturday. Meanwhile, the White Sox bullpen is depleted after using three relievers on Thursday and four last night. The O's needed just 36 pitches collectively from their 'pen in last night's victory. This is likely a 'bullpen game' for Baltimore with a starter yet to be announced but I'm confident they can navigate the waters in Chicago. Take Baltimore (8*).
