Wyoming vs BYU Prediction

The current betting odds have BYU listed as a 21.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. BYU just took a big loss in Oregon but they are going to be looking to bounce back back at home here. They are going to be very upset after that game, not just about the loss, but also about some of the chants they heard from the crowd. They still didn't play great in that game though and they will be looking to take their frustrations out on Wyoming here. Wyoming lost their 1st game of the season and it was a very bad loss too, but they have won 3 games in a row now and looked really good on defense in their win against AFA last week. All of their wins have been at home though and they are only playing their 2nd road game of the year here, losing their other road game in their season opener. Wyoming is going to be a good home team this year but they do not have a very good team with all of the players they lost from last year and this new team does not travel well. They are going to struggle to score points in this road game and their defense will not be able to stop this BYU offense like they did last week with AFA. The best way to place a bet here is on BYU to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

“I think they know it’s there. I was not completely aware so much when I got back. Heard some rumblings about it and different stories. Then when we played the bowl game, I went up to Kalani and I was like, ‘What is the deal?’ So it’s on. I know our fans embrace it and are excited about it. I think it would be really counterproductive to dwell on all that. They know it’s a big game.” - Craig Bohl on the rivalry between Wyoming and BYU for this upcoming game.

“Obviously not the result that we were looking for, but I have to give a lot of credit to Oregon. They showed up ready to play. More ready than we did, especially in the beginning. I didn’t have this team ready; that’s on me. We have to figure out a way to start better and start faster.” - Kalani Sitake after his team’s loss against Oregon in their last game.
