Western Kentucky vs Indiana Prediction

The current betting odds have WKU listed as a 6.5 point underdog in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. WKU is off to a 2-0 start to the season and their offense has been looking good in their games. Their offense is very pass heavy but they move the ball well with their passing game and they can score a lot of points in their games as well. Indiana has not been as good in their 2 games as they barely won against Illinois and struggled to beat Idaho in their last game too. Indiana does not have an offense that can keep up with this WKU offense and they will have to play better defensively in this game. Indiana could stop WKU with their defense in this game, but offense will still be an issue for Indiana even if their defense stunts the WKU offense, and Indiana will not rack up enough points here to take a sound lead and win in a blowout here. WKU is a more reliable team with a much better offense that has put up big numbers over the last few years now. The best way to place a bet here is on WKU to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

“I thought he made good improvement from game one to game two. He seemed comfortable out there, made some good plays. I like how he’s leading the football team. He knows he’s got to get a lot better, but I’m seeing that progression and that’s the biggest thing – you want to see that progression, taking that step. He’s done that so far. So long as he keeps improving, that’s the biggest thing.” - Tyson Helton on Austin Reed after his first 2 games as starting QB.

“It's the takeaway piece. It's key stops at critical times. It's the sacks. It's the pressures. That's where we've got to be great. And if you're great there and you force field goals or you force stops when they're critical for us, that's what I want to get back to.” - Tom Allen on what he wants his defense to be this season.
